Our approach

Accessibility is part of product design, writing, engineering, and maintenance. We aim to make important actions clear, keep controls usable from a keyboard, support assistive technology, and avoid asking people to work around unnecessary barriers.

We also know that automated checks do not find every problem. Feedback from people using the site matters.

This website

The Common Axis website uses semantic headings and landmarks, visible keyboard focus, a skip link, responsive layouts, descriptive link text, and a reduced-motion option. It uses a self-hosted typeface and does not depend on a third-party script for its main content.

Text can be enlarged with browser controls. The site is designed to work across modern desktop and mobile browsers without requiring an account.

Standards we work toward

Our working target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. That is a goal and an ongoing practice, not a claim that every page or future feature is free of barriers.

• Readable contrast and legible type
• Keyboard access for navigation and controls
• Useful structure for screen readers
• Motion that can be reduced through device settings
• Plain language where it improves understanding

Report an accessibility barrier

Use the contact form or email info@commonaxis.org. If possible, include the page address, what you were trying to do, what happened, and the browser or assistive technology you were using.

Do not include confidential case information or other sensitive personal details. We only need enough information to understand the barrier.

What happens next

We will acknowledge the message, review the issue, and respond with what we can change or an alternative way to access the information. The time needed will depend on the impact and the work involved.
