The short version
This website does not require an account, use advertising cookies, run behavioral analytics, or sell personal information. The contact form asks only for what the team needs to understand and respond to a message. Donation checkout, once connected, is hosted by Stripe rather than collected on this site.

Why privacy matters here
A person may visit a Common Axis tool because they are trying to understand important information or find community support. That context can be personal. Our approach is to collect less, explain what is happening, and give people a useful experience without requiring an account whenever the tool can work without one.
Privacy is an ongoing practice. As the website and products change, the explanation of their data use should change with them.
Information the website may process
When you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, optional organization, selected topic, and message. Netlify, our website host, processes and stores the submission so the Common Axis team can respond.
Like most websites, the hosting provider may also process standard request data needed to deliver and protect the site. That can include an IP address, browser type, requested page, referral address, and date and time. Common Axis does not use this website to build advertising profiles or track people across other websites.

If you use the contact form or email info@commonaxis.org, we use the information to read, route, and respond to your request.
Please do not send passwords, Social Security numbers, medical records, case files, immigration documents, or other highly sensitive information.
Other services and websites
The site links to Shared Language, KindLocator.org, GitHub, and email services. Secure donation checkout is designed to open on Stripe after payment processing is configured. Those providers follow their own privacy practices.
Retention and sharing
We keep correspondence only as long as it is reasonably needed for the conversation, organizational records, or legal obligations. We may share a message inside Common Axis when another person is better placed to respond.
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information when required by law or when needed to protect the security and rights of the organization or others.
Security
The website is designed to limit exposure: no account system, no embedded social feed, no advertising technology, no third-party font requests, and no card fields hosted by Common Axis. The contact form is processed by the site host, and donation checkout is designed to be hosted by Stripe. We also provide restrictive browser security rules where the hosting platform supports them.
No website or email system can be guaranteed completely secure. To report a security concern involving Common Axis, Shared Language, or KindLocator.org, use the contact form or email security@commonaxis.org. Identify the affected website or product and describe what you observed. Please do not include active exploit code, credentials, or sensitive third-party data in an initial message.
Changes to this page
If the website adds analytics, changes its forms, enables donation processing, or uses another service that changes how information is handled, this page will be updated before or when that change goes live. The effective date at the top will change when the policy changes.
